La Fundación de Ayuda Social de las Iglesias Cristianas (FASIC), fue fundada en Abril de 1975, como continuadora del Comité de Ayuda a Refugiados, que funcionó desde Septiembre de 1973. El Directorio está integrado por personas de distintas Iglesias Cristianas. Es una institución de carácter ecuménica, comprometida con la práctica cotidiana de los Derechos Humanos e inspirada en la perspectiva cristiana de liberación y dignidad de las personas.
